I need opinions on forum organization...
I am trying to figure out the best way to set up the forums and would like some feedback on which method you all find best/most logical.
Problem: organizing the forums
Solution: Categories with forums or Forums with Sub-forums?
I'm not really an expert on the whole forum thing, so if any of you have experience or thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate it! I want the site and forums to be easy to use and navigate, so I welcome all feedback.
My thoughts are that using Categories with forums allows the description of each forum to be shown, but really stretches the listings out. But Forums with Sub-forums for some reason doesn't show the description for the sub-forum, and also you cannot get to the sub-forum from the main forum listing. (Use the raids forum as an example: I currently have Blackrock Foundry set as a sub-forum of Raids, and I am debating making a Category "Raids" and listing forums for each raid there instead ...like the Requests area).
Thanks for any input and suggestions!
Haha, yeah that is true.
I keep trying to promote the website, but there is a lack of interest. I will keep uploading the strat links though; I find those extremely helpful.
However, I keep thinking if I make the website easier to use perhaps people will be less afraid of using it. And I'm not convinced that the forums are set up the most efficient ways, and since I don't use other forums a whole lot, I was hoping to catch some advice from the few people who do currently at least check the website every now and then.
Plus, if you have any ideas on ways to get people more involved on the website, I'd love to hear those as well! :D
P.S. I'm so glad someone else finds the strat links helpful!
